The Selecia

Since ancient times, perhaps prior to the construction of the boundary wall of the Norman period…The streets of the village had a pavement, which you can still see, recently restored, and called “Selecia“. The people who went to work in the countryside outside the city walls, with their asses, crossed the road daily; the intense use has determined the characteristic smooth appearance of the surface of the pavement.
